Examination of body mass index perceptions of physical education and sports teachers in terms of various variables

In this study, physical education teachers with different body mass indices ( BMI ) have body perceptions; It is aimed to determine the relationship between age, height, weight, gender, service time, smoking and marital status variables. 167 individuals with different physical characteristics aged 24-65, who served as a physical education teacher in the district of Şehitkamil in Gaziantep province, participated in the study. After the demographic information of the participants was determined by the "Identifying properties survey", the body perception scale was applied to determine body perceptions. Multidimensional scaling analysis ( EBIT ) technique was used to investigate the relationships between the BMI values of the subjects and the determined properties, and the SPSS 20.0 program for statistical analysis. Entry statistics for the properties determined according to the results of the analysis were taken into account the stress coefficient (0,162) and the level of the explainable variation (R2= 78.6% ) to evaluate the EBIT compliance. It was observed that the age, gender, marital status and smoking status of the BMI are close to each other and are in the same group. This is an indication that BMI values are related to individuals' age, gender, marital status and smoking status. For this reason, it has been determined that BMI values are significantly affected by age, gender, marital status and smoking use. From the values on the body perception scale, in a group of weight, there are positive relationships among sleep order, urine and digestive system. In a separate group of sound,there are also positive relationships among muscle strength, health and disease resistance, face, hair, waist, physical strength, back, body structure and energy level. Additionally, in a separate group and body hair distribution, tooth shape, senses, foot, chest, hand, eye shape, genitals, sexual activity, chin, sexual power show significant positive relationships in which the pain threshold and face shape are also in a separate group. Therefore, it has been determined that the change in one feature will affect other features.
