The knowledge level about doping of students of physical and sports teaching department Marmara,Ege and İç Anadolu regions sample)

Nowadays, the density of the use of doping ,especially in some sports branches and its coming to agenda with some of our national sportsmen from time to time have taken the attention of people. Certainly, the use of doping is one of the important problems of sports. Then, what should be done to solve this problem. We think that an important part of this subject is formed by trainers and physical education teacher candidates.So what is to be done first is to define the knowledge levels and ideas about the topic of these people and to display what should be done if there is any deficiency. In our study, first of all, about one hundred and twenty sources, including related thesis provided from YÖK thesis center, various publications from the libraries of universities, the books and articles of authors about the topic, and all the news about doping that have taken place in local and national press, are reached. Then, two schools from each of Marmara, Ege and ç Anadolu Regions are chosen by simple fortitous sampling and the inquries are applied to total 355 students. The obtained data is analysed using the statistics programme SPSS 10.0 and the percentage and frequency values and crosstabs are examined, the relation between the preference frequency of the answers of particular questions defined to research the knowledge and ideas about doping in the inquiry are determined using One Sample Chi Square Test and it is tried to find if there is any relation between the variables or not using the Chi-Square Test x2 As the result of analyses,it is found that the knowledge level of students? about doping is inadequate, the grade that students continue effect their knowledge level of doping, but the department of students and the time they do sports do not effect their knowledge level of doping.The foresights that reached us to these results are explained in detail in the part of results and advices.
