Comparison of leadership skills dealing with i̇ndividual and team sports of students studying at schools of physical education and sports

TThe aim of this study, examınatıon of leadershıp skılls dealing with individual and team sports of students studyıng at schools of physıcal educatıon and sports accompanied by a variety of variables. In the academic year of 2015-2016, students studying in departments of Physical Education and Sports Teacher, Sports Management, Coaching Education and Recreation of some factors may be effective on the leadership level of the students were discussed. The School of Physical Education and Sport Bartin University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Firat University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Erciyes University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Adiyaman University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Cukurova University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Celal Bayar University constitute the sample group. Totally, 712 male and 386 female students participated in the study. In the study, Leadership Scale; developed by Lee G. Bolman and Terrence TE. Deal (1991), adapting to Turkish made by Dereli (2003), Leadership Tendency Scale was used. In the results of the study, when the students studying at the school of physical education and sport leadership traits examined, a significant difference was found on gender variable at sub-dimension human resources frame (p=0.023). Besides, leadership scale of "one best describes the phrase" section in the "most important feature I noticed that people" were found (p=0.000) when the average values examined significance distinguishably was found. While was found significance at the level of (p=0.004) in the expression of "The best way for me to define", the difference near the border of significance were identified at the level of (p=0,041) in the expression of "i am defined the best with this way" (p>0,05).
