Investigation of personality traits to serios leisure participant's in school of physical education and sports.

The aim of the study is to survey classification of serious leisure participants, going to School of Physical Education and Sports, and this classification is to reveal personality traits. 966 university students from Schools of Physical Education and Sports in the 7 Different Region of Turkey. As data gathering tool, "Serios and Casual Leisure Measure" developed by Akyıldız. This scale is consisted of 9 sub dimensions and 42 items and "Five Factor Personality Inventory" developed by Tatar, is consisted of 85 items. During the evaluation of data SPSS 21. for Windows Package Program was used. In addition to descriptive statistical methods such as frequency, percentage and cross tabulation, independent samples t test, One Way ANOVA tests, Mann Whitney-U, Kruskal Wallis test were used to determine meaningful differences, also were used clustering analysis (hierarchical and non- hierarchical) so that classification. As a result serios leisure level of the participants significantly differs according to gender, university whereas no relation with age and school department. In addition; except school department, significantly differs between participant's personality traits and gender, age, universitys. Serious Leisure classification for Physical Education and Sports Students significantly diffrenet from in literature classification and differences in the classification of personality characteristics were determined.
