Abstract (EN)

In this paper, it is aimed to investigate the relations between body awareness, self-compassion and somatization, and to evalute whether somatization moderates the relationship between body awareness and self-compassion. This study was carried out of 340 participants between the ages of 18 and 65. The survey form of this paper entails Sociodemographic Information Form, Body Awareness Questionarre, Self-Compassion Scale and Somatization Scale. The data derived from the scales were analyzed with the version 24.0 of SPSS programme. The Correlation Analysis was conducted to evaulate relationships amongst the variables found that there is a positive significant relationship between body awareness and self-compassion, and negative signifacant relationships between somatization and both body awareness and self-compassion. Besides, regulatory power of somatization on the other variables' realtionship was examined through Regression Analysis. No regulatory role of somatization was found, although the model turned out to be statistically significant. Finally, the findings were discussed under the light of the information based on the literature.
