Abstract (EN)

Behçet Necatigil has been involved in literary life for more than thirty years, from his first poetry book, the Kapalı Çarşı, until his death. In this process, the artist, who published many poetry books, translations and radio plays, adopted a contemporary poetic attitude in his work by being fed from the tradition of Divan poetry and folk narrative motifs. Being a teacher besides his artist identity, Necatigil narrowed his life between home and school; He did this voluntarily. He chose the subjects in his works from inspired by the houses, the close environment, especially the middle-class citizens struggling to survive in the big city. Behçet Necatigil is known as the "poet of houses" in our literature. Although the prominent place in his works is the house, Necatigil deals with many places where life is sustained in his poems that center real life; he reconstructs these spaces in his poems. The aim of this study is to identify and classify the places in Behçet Necatigil's poems and prose; is to try to explain how these spaces are handled poetically. It is not possible to come across a classification that is accepted by everyone regarding the classification of space. For this reason, we accept that this classification we have made can be changed, improved or criticized. In the introductory part of the study, the concepts of space and poetics are explained, and the poetics of space is discussed. The space in Behçet Necatigil's works consists of two main parts, which will deal with the poetics of space in his poems and the poetics of space in his prose. The places in his poems are divided into titles by considering certain criteria and these places are exemplified by poems. The places in his prose are divided into two titles to deal with the places in his letters and radio plays, and the places identified here are tried to be explained with examples.
