Abstract (EN)

The types, who represent a group and are a manifestation of the society's value judgments, life, beliefs and behavior patterns, also play an important role in the construction of a literary text. For this reason, types are one of the important elements that should be examined in order to reveal the nature of classical Turkish poetry. The widespread use of types in texts not only facilitates the understanding of texts but also contributes to their correct interpretation. In addition, the types used in the works also serve as a historical source that allows us to obtain information about the social structure of the author and the understanding of art of the period. In this study, the types in Behiştî's divan, one of the 16th century poets, are primarily discussed with their historical backgrounds and are highlighted with some information that affects their formation in the typification processes and reveals their type characteristics. Types; They are grouped under five main headings as Imaginary/ Sufi Types (Story-Epic-Fairytale Heroes, Characters), Occupational Types, Religious-Sufistic Types, Social Types and Group Types. With this grouping, it is aimed to make the classification of the thesis more clear and understandable. The aspects or meanings of the types mentioned in Behiştî's divan were determined and the types were matched with the existing titles according to their characteristics. Thus, the type staff in Behiştî's Divan has been tried to be clarified in the light of the poem examples discussed. As a result of the scanning made in the Behişti Divan, a total of 93 types were identified. In the vast majority of these types, directly or indirectly, the lover and lover type is in the center. The types of lovers, lovers and rivals, whose names are most frequently mentioned in the Divan, also appear in the form of "special names". These nomenclatures, which represent the types of beloved, lover and rival, but do not have type characteristics, are grouped under the subheadings of "permanent nomenclature" and "temporary nomenclature". While the occupations and human profiles of the period are exemplified in the Occupational Types, Social Types and Group Types mentioned in the Divan, the effects of Behişti's sufi-derived personality are seen in the formation and processing style of the type staff in Religious-Sufi Types. Keywords: Classical Turkish poetry, Behişti Divan, type, analysis.
