Abstract (EN)

Oral cultural products are our most important means of carrying our cultural heritage and our national values past. The folk tales, which are influenced by wide geographies, born in oral tradition and conveyed to written sources through lovers, are also important sources of Turkish cultural history with its rich content. Folk stories that are constantly renewing themselves are not just past products. Today, in Çukurova, lovers hold performances in their hands and perform folk tales and songs in various places. Bal Börek, Ahmet Bey and Güheri, Ali Pasha, Âşık Garip, Deli Boran and Gündeşlioğlu stories were collected from Bekir İşlek's Âşık Karayiğit Osman in Düziçi region. Beside this, Âşık Karayiğit Osman was introduced to give information about elements such as "narrator-listener relation", "text", "music" and "tradition". The performance theory method used by İsmail Görkem in his book "Folk Story Researches, Cukurovali Mustafa Köse and Story Repertory" was used by Şerif Aktaş as the method of examination and the analysis methods used in his book "The Analysis and Application of Literary Texts Based on Narrative". Key Words: Âşık Karayiğit Osman, Bekir Islek, Düziçi, Folk Stories and Storytelling Tradition, Türkülü Story.
