Beklenenin üzerinde: İç ve dış dinamiklerinin etkileşimi ile Çin'in yükselişini yeniden anlamak

This research aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the People's Republic of China's rise to its current position in the global political and economic scene through understanding its foreign affairs and its internal policy dynamics. The question of 'how do we conceptualize the rise of China?' provides the theoretical framework under the scope of the Hegemonic Stability Theory (HST) and it's contemporary readings. The research utilizes the process-tracing method to conduct thorough policy analysis on China's rise and a case study of China's bilateral relations with Turkey through a qualitative framework. Thus, this thesis is based on, but not limited to; answering the questions of how this rise took place, what kinds of dependencies were created along the way, why such volume and acceleration created in the recent decade and what does China's new and improved role in the global scene mean in today's context? Findings on the usage of geo-economic tools that gained more importance in the post-2013 period of the Xi Jinping era provide supporting evidence for the growing influence of China as a major global power with clear hegemonic tendencies. This study is an analysis of the recent phase of an ongoing yet ever-changing phenomenon called the rise of China in its timeline of progress.
