Abstract (EN)

Municipalities should create an institutional organization that will provide the necessary physical conditions and satisfaction with the services provided to provide sports services to their citizens. This research aims to examine the satisfaction levels of citizens receiving services from municipal sports centers. The phenomenological qualitative research model was used in the research. A research group consisting of 28 people, two men, and two women, from seven Sanfit centers was determined by using a purposeful sampling technique from the sports centers of Istanbul Sancaktepe District Municipality. A semi-structured interview form consisting of 12 questions was created. Written and verbal consent were obtained from the participants who agreed to be interviewed completely voluntarily. The data were evaluated using content analysis and descriptive analysis methods. The audio recordings of the face-to-face interviews were transcribed and transcribed. Three field experts examined the obtained data and codes were determined. The data were re-evaluated and the codes were grouped and themes were created. According to the data obtained, it was determined that sports centers were inadequate in terms of physical space and equipment. Participant expressions supported comments. It was concluded that the participants expect accessible and sustainable sports services from the municipality and that the deficiencies of sports centers in terms of quantity and quality should be eliminated.
