Özet (EN)
An Investigation into Free Time Satiety Levels and Satisfaction and Expectation Levels of the Individuals Participating in the Activities in the Youth Centres of Municipalities The goal of this study is to examine the relationship between free time satiety levels and satisfaction and expectation levels of the members who participate in the activities in the Youth Centres affiliated to Local Governments in Turkey based on different variables. The research was conducted with quantitative research method and the model of the research was relational screening model. Youth Centre Satisfaction Scale "YCSS" and Youth Centre Expectation Scale "YCES", which were developed and tested for validity and reliability by the researcher, and Free Time Satiety Scale "FTSS", which was developed by Beard and Raghed (1980) and adapted to Turkish and tested for validity and reliability by Gökçe and Orhan (2011), was used in the study. The scale was applied to 2053 people, 898 male and 1155 female, in 78 Youth Centres belonging to 7 metropolises, 5 cities and 8 central district municipalities between 2017 and 2018. The statistical analysis of the research was carried out using SPSS 25 and AMOS 18 packaged software. In the binary comparisons between a quantitative and a categorical variable, the suitability of the data for normal distribution was tested with Shapiro-Wilk test and Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis-H test were used. In addition, intragroup binary comparisons of meaningful differences were also made with Mann-Whitney U test. In the comparisons between two quantitative variables, Spearman correlation was used because the data did not show normal distribution. It was determined as a result that men were more satisfied with the educational status of the activities than women (2,11), women were more satisfied with the efficieny of the activities than men (2,01), men felt physiologically better (3,50) and were aesthetically better than women (3,75). It was also found that the ones who were 25 years old or older and participated into the activities were more satisfied about the efficiency of these activities (2,01) and free-time satisfaction levels of participants aged between 21 and 28 years were higher than the other age groups (3,87-3,83). Moreover, it was observed that as the income level increases, there is an increase in the level of satisfaction with the efficiency of the activities, and individuals with high income levels feel psychologically better (3,52).
