Abstract (EN)

Document chemistry is the study of the physical and chemical properties of documents, inks, paper and other related materials. Research in this field aims to understand the historical analysis, forgery detection, aging processes and composition of documents. Document chemistry finds application areas in various fields such as forensic sciences, history, art history and librarianship. In our study, 2 samples from 15 different years taken from official institutional archive documents were analyzed with the raman spectrometer device at Alcala University in Spain. The results were grouped by years in the three-dimensional plane by multivariate data analysis in the Simca® program licensed by Alcala University. In the results, regions where the raman spectra differed by year were identified. This study aims to determine the differences in ink aging over the years in document examination using raman spectrometry on blue ballpoint pen signatures and writing samples. For this purpose, firstly, the analysis results obtained by raman spectrometry were entered into the SIMCA program as a data set, the results were tested with different correction configurations and the correction configuration with the best grouping according to years was determined. As a result of the study, the blue ballpoint pen inks from the document were classified in three dimensional plane according to years by using Raman spectrometry and SIMCA analysis.
