Özet (EN)

Artists who have dealt with the concept of memory throughout history have used images as tools due to their characteristics, such as archives, documents, and memories. Since the advent of technology, art has become increasingly intertwined with images. It is thought that the abundance of images causes memory loss based on not forgetting. This research reveals how images can cause amnesia by examining the concept of memory and re-reading the concept of reality in connection with this. Memory situations in the virtual environment are examined after revealing how memory is intertwined with our individual and social identities. It has been revealed that artists have been able to cause amnesia as a result of their dealing with memory throughout history, especially their orientation to images. The unreliable nature and falsification of memory also apply to amnesia. One of the most critical factors affecting memory is time. The transformation of the concept of time into different concepts with virtualization has been tried to be explained by examining Bergson's concepts of time and space. Aim; In particular, it investigates how the digital image can relate to memory and be permanent. Therefore, our first stop, static before digital image spaces, is the ability to store photographs and memories. Moving images (video) and virtual images created in the digital environment were examined here. (virtual reality/VR and Augmented reality/AR).
