Benlik kavramı ile performans arasındaki ilişkinin psikososyal faktörler açısından incelenmesine yönelik bir analiz

A total of 244 participants took part in this study. In terms of the study, pilot candidates studying in flight schools operating in different provinces within the borders of Turkey constitute the population of the study. In this study, three research models were examined and hypotheses for these research models were established. In terms of the first research model, the relationship between pilot candidates' self-control, self-efficacy, self-regulation, self-monitoring and self-consciousness levels and flight performances were examined and it was found that there was a significant relationship between self-perceptions and flight performance except self-efficacy. Safety climate was found to have a moderator role in the relationship between self-efficacy and self-control and flight performance. In other words, if the pilot candidates whose self-control and self-efficacy perception are above a certain level are aware of the importance given to safety in the flight school they study, their flight performance is higher in this case. In the second research model, it was determined that there is a significant relationship between safety climate and flight performance. It was found that self-control, self-efficacy, self-consciousness and self-monitoring have a positive and significant effect on the relationship between flight performance and safety climate. In the third model of the study, the relationship between the pilot candidates' theoretical exam performances and flight performances were examined and it was found that there was a significant positive relationship between them. It was understood that the self-perceptions also have a moderator effect in this relationship. According to these results, it has been found that self-control has a decreasing effect on the relationship between pilot candidates' theoretical exam results and flight performance. Apart from the three research models mentioned above, the relationship between self-control, self-regulation, self-efficacy, self-monitoring and self-consciousness, and the theoretical exam performance of pilot candidates were examined. It has been determined that safety climate has a moderator effect on this relationship. The relevant results and tables are shown in the appendix. The findings of the study suggest that some self-concepts as examined in terms of this study have important role on the performance of pilot candidates.In addition, the performance of the pilot candidates who perceive the importance of safety in the flight schools where they are educated has been found to be higher and shows that the flight schools need to instill the perception that the importance of safety is given to the pilot candidates in order to train successful pilots in future.
