Abstract (EN)
Synthetic applications of homogeneous catalysts are studied intensively over the last 30 years. Recent researches in this field, in a stable wide range,are on new methods for the synthesis of efficient and renewable catalyst. This represents a great benefit for both the economy and the environment. With relatively a small change in ligandsseries, there are a few homogeneous transition metal catalysts whose both electronic and steric effects can be controlled perfectly. Due to the fact that the syntheses of aromatic azo compounds are used widely in various fields, there has been a great interest to azole compounds. Imidazole, imidazoline, benzimidazole are most commonly known azole compounds. Related compounds containing imidazole and benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles and benzothiazoles have been extensively studied in the coordination of chemistry because of their roles in aspects of catalysis and biomimetics. Azoles are also used in the area of coordinated functional materials which serve as good electron donors andwhich provide weak interactions.As organometallic complexes containing nitrogen donor ligands in the fields of coordination chemistry, homogeneous catalysis and organic synthesis generally exhibit high activities, nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ligands have become a popular field which receives more attention. Results can be summarized under four titles. 1) N-substituted benzimidazole (1a-o) ligands were prepared and their structure was elucidated by spectroscopic techniques. 2) N-substituted benzimidazole (1a-o) ligands were reacted with [RuCl2(p-cymene)]2 complexes and the corresponding complexes (2a-o)were prepared and their structure were elucidated by spectroscopic techniques. 3) N-substituted benzimidazole (1a-o) ligands were reacted with [PdCl2(CH3CN)2]2complexes and the corresponding complexes (3a-o)were prepared and their structure were elucidated by spectroscopic techniques. 4) The catalytic activities of the synthesized Ru(II) complexes-benzimidazole (2a-o) in transfer hydrogenation reactions were investigated. The catalytic activities of the synthesized Pd(II) complexes-azol (3a-o) inMizoroki-Heck, Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling reactions were investigated.
