Investigation of Thermodynamic Properties with the İnverse Gas Chromatography of Copolymers Containing Benzofuran Hing In this work, of thermodynamics parameters poly (7-Methoxy-2-acetyl benzofuran methyl methacrylate-co-styrene) Poly(MABMM) and poly (2-acetyl benzofuran methyl methacrylate-co-styrene) Poly(ABMM) were investigated by using Inverse Gas Chromatography (IGC) . For this purpose poly (MABMM) and poly(ABMM) copolymers were covered by the Chromosorb W were packed within filled steel columns, then the hydrocarbons and alcohols were injected determined at different temperatures and the specific retention volume were obtained. The glass transition temperatures poly(MABMM) and poly (ABMM) were found respectively 120oC and 140oC from the plot of lnVg versus 1/T. The heats of the adsorption of probes on the poly(MABMM) and poly(ABMM) at the temperatures below the glass transition temperatures were found. Above the glass transition temperatures ΔH1s, ΔS1s, ΔG1s values of probes for sorption were determined. The weight activity coefficient (a1/w1)∞, Flory-Huggins interaction parameter (X1,2), partial molar free energy (ΔG1∞) and partial molar heat (ΔH1∞) values of probes were obtained for infinite dilition state. These values showed well agreement with the values of polymer-nonsolvent systems. The solubility parameters(δ2) of poly(MABMM) poly(ABMM) were determined by values of Flory-Huggins interaction parameters. It was observed that the solubility parameter decreases with temperature.
