The Syntax of Five Cities and some proposals of this on the usage of teaching on grammer

Tanpınar is one of the important characters who created manyworks of art in modern Turkish literature suchas; poems, novels, shortstories,essays and the history of literature.This study concerning his work called ? Five Cities? involves the inquiryof it with respect to word order. The points affecting the style of the author like;the way of narration, the physchology of the writer and the given messages areneglected within this research. However, miscellanies are supposed to be consistof the structure which is called language. Therefore, the role of how language isused is of great importance. We examined it in two main groups; word groups,sentence structure. In the former one, every word groups were looked intoaccording to structure, the usage in sentence and the usage of themselves amongthe other word groups. In addiation to appropriate examples given from the text.In the later one, the sentences were evalvated with respect to how variably theyjoined to the main sentence, the meaningas well as the kind and the position of averb. Furthermore, propasals were offered about the usage of the sentences in thenovel as a material for the literatute courses both for the secondary educationinstitutions.Key Words: Five Cities, syntax, word groups and sentence.
