Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT Master Thesis COMPARING THE STIFFNESS MODUL'S OF ASPHALT CONCRETE BY USING SHELL METHOD AND INDIRECT TENSILE METHOD Fatih ZAİMO?LU Fırat University Graduate School of Science and Technology Department of Civil Engineering 2005, page : 37 In this study, stiffness modul of asphalt concrete was investigated at different temperatures. For this purpose, indirect tensile test experiments were applied on prepared marshall's samples. The samples were kept 2 hours at experiment temperatures before applying the indirect tensile test. Volume concentration of aggregate in the asphalt mix and the stiffness of bitumen are the parameters that influence the stiffness of the mix. The stiffness of the mix was increased when the volume concentration of aggregate and the stiffness of bitumen was increased.
