Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT In this study, the effects of CI" which inserted in concrete structure by environmental effects and mixture water on concrete iron were investigated. Current-potential changes of concrete samples which were prepared using electrolyte as mixture and/or surface water containing various CI- concentration were measured. The conductivity, I CI" I and pH were determinated in case cathodic (-700 mV) and anodic (+700 mV) potentials applied to the cell for five hours. According to the investigation results, chloride ions cause to corrosion on concrete iron. A rapid increase of solubility of concrete iron is observed depending on increasing of CI" concentration at anodic region (+700 mV). A regular diffusion of CI" into the concrete and the surface water has not been determined at -700 and +700 mV potentials applied to the cell. Key Words: concrete, corrosion, cathodic protection, diffusion, chloride effect.
