Abstract (EN)

Today, in reinforced concrete structures, the transmission of electrical energy to the receivers and / or control elements through electrical wires and the protection of the conductors from external factors is carried out by passing through a plastic pipe, which is an insulating material. the protection pipes form a substantially longitudinal gap in reinforced concrete beams. In this study, the effect of protection pipes passing through reinforced concrete beams on the bending strength of reinforced concrete beams was investigated. For this research, 4 full-scale reinforced concrete beams are designed to meet the requirements in practice. While one of the beams is designed as a reference sample, the remaining 3 reinforced concrete beam samples are produced to have a total of 5 protection pipes in the tensile, neutral axis and pressure zone, respectively. All experimental reinforced concrete beams produced were subjected to 4 axial bending tests to demand constant bending moments at loading borders, and the effect of protection pipes on the structural behavior of reinforced concrete beams was examined. It is argued that the circular cross-sectional spaces formed by PVC (plastic) pipes through electrical wires, which must be used for various reasons in the application of reinforced concrete carrier elements for various reasons in order to prevent any structural discontinuity in the application, must be passed through the neutral axis as much as possible.
