Floor coating materials used in houses constructed with concrete system and the examination of these materials in terms of human health

Floor covering materials have a great share in creating a livable and healthy environment in the building. For this reason, it is necessary to examine the floor covering materials used in residential buildings built with a reinforced concrete system and to reveal their effects on human health. This thesis is presented to introduce floor covering materials and to evaluate the effects of these materials on human health. In the introduction part of the thesis, general information about the study is given. In the theoretical foundations and concepts section of the thesis, flooring covering materials and substrates are introduced. In the material and method part of the thesis, a search was made in the "Science Direct" database, and the articles related to the subject were evaluated by content analysis method. The articles reached in the findings and discussion part of the thesis were examined under the headings of gases, particles and radioactivity. In the conclusion part of the thesis, as a result of the content analysis, it has been seen that the floor covering materials used can cause various negative effects on human health, either directly or indirectly, and suggestions for the selection of the material to be used in order to minimize these effects are presented.
