Özet (EN)
The aim of this study is to reveal the direct or indirect changes made by humans on topography in the central districts and villages of Bilecik. In accordance with this purpose, 1/100.000 scaled topographical and geological maps of the study area and Google-Earth images of the years 2003, 2013, 2021 were analyzed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). As a result, the temporal and spatial changes of human-induced changes in the topography of the research area have been revealed. According to the results of our research; Man's intervention to the topography in this region started from the Neolithic period, became widespread in the Roman and Byzantine periods, and increased even more in the Ottoman Empire period, especially with the settlement of immigrants coming to Anatolia and the opening of quarries to be used in buildings in Istanbul. In the last 10 years, the number of marble and quarry enterprises increasing rapidly due to industrialization in the city, zoning works such as the High Speed Train (YHT) line opened between Ankara and Istanbul, and urbanization, which emerged with rapid population growth, reached its peak.
