Özet (EN)
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of computer aided education (BDE) on student success. This study was regularly performed in 4-year periods, 4. 8. and 12.using data from TIMSS, a survey survey to assess the knowledge and skills gained by grade-level students in the fields of Mathematics and science, we tried to determine how BDE affects learning in different countries using data from thousands of students and teachers. The data used in this study was obtained from TIMSS 2015 exams of 24572 students at the 4th grade level and 27604 students at the 8th grade level, and multiple linear regression method was used in data analysis. The independent variable of the study is the use of computers in the courses, while the dependent variable is the students ' mathematics achievement score. In the interpretation of data analysis, the value of t was used instead of the value of p. Because the analysis of TIMSS data generated in a hierarchical structure is not only possible with SPSS, it is used with IDB Analyzer, a supporting program developed by TIMSS. In the study, it used data from 5 countries (China, Italy, England, New Zealand, Turkey) to determine the relationship between BDE and student success in these countries. The findings of the study found a significant relationship between BDE and student achievement only in Turkey, but not in other countries. Another important finding of the study is the rate of computer use in courses. While 48% of 4th grade students participating in the research benefit from computer-aided education in their classes, this rate drops to 32% in 8th grade students. As a result of this, we can comment on classroom management, which becomes more difficult as the grade level increases. The country with the highest computer usage rate of teachers at both grade levels is New Zealand with 90%, while the lowest computer usage rate is 4.Chinese with 25% in Class, 8. On Grade Level, 14% are among the results achieved in Turkey. Keywords: Computer Aided Education, Mathematics, TIMSS
