Abstract (EN)

In the study, it is aimed to identify, three-dimensional modeling and morphometry of intracranial arteries in New Zealand Rabbit by computerized tomography angiography. This research is supported by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Scientific Research Projects Coordinator (Project No: 0580 YL-19). A total of 20 adult New Zealand White Rabbits of both sexes (10 females, 10 males) were used in the study. General anesthesia procedure was performed before computed tomography angiography shots. Rabbits were given prone position for shooting. Computed tomography angiography shots were performed by injecting contrast material from the vena auricularis marginalis of the rabbits. Morphometric measurements were made from the points determined in the MIMICS 13.0 program using the computerized tomography angiography images obtained. A three-dimensional intracranial artery model was created from two-dimensional images on the same program. Statistically, comparations of gender and side measurementents were made. In the study, it was observed that arteria basilaris was formed by the bilateral arteria vertebralis at the basal level of the medulla oblongata. In the study, a statistically significant difference was determined in the diameter values of arteria cerebri caudalis dextra et sinistra only in male and female rabbits. In terms of side, there was no statistically significant difference. In conclusion, we believe that the information obtained in our study will contribute to the studies, clinicians or researchers about cerebrovascular pathologies, which have an important share among the diseases that cause death.
