Abstract (EN)
Education is one of the tasks, that each country has to provide its citizens without any charge. Each state must make various investments in order to guarantee its future. These investments can sometimes be made to every individual through short term thoughts whereas to particular people with certain qualities in long term.Every country tries to meet the investments that give the opportunity to provide its continuity by its own capital, in other words, its own society. With this aim some people as workers, farmers, builders, doctors, engineers, teachers, scientists, etc, are given formal or common educational courses according to their abilities.The purpose of the research is evaluation of science and art centres (bilsem) curriculum according to student, teacher, classroom teachers, parents and school principals? views using hammond model.Survey model was used in the research. In this reseach with the aim of obtaining the functionality of Science and Art Centres? curriculum students (4th and 5th grades) at 57 Science and Art Centres throughout Turkey, directors and teachers in those institutions, classroom teachers at students? formal educational institutions and their parents constitute the universe of the research.In determining the sample BİLSEM centres fort he research, 20% sample group was taken as criteria and this 20% group was determined in two ways and hence the research was carried out.In determinig the sample BİLSEM centers development levels of the cities and the number of BİLSEM centers in geographical regions in Turkey was taken into consideration according to Turkish Statistics Institution (TUİK) data. The research was carried out in the second term of 2010 ? 2011 academic year. Data of the research was collected by a survey developed by the researcher.In the first part of the research some terms as current problem, purpose, significance, assumptions, limitations and definitions were given. In the second part high intelligance term, the difference between higher intelligance and high ability terms, field studies about the ways and historical process of the education of the people with high intelligence were given.In part III, the method dimension of the research was considered. Group sampling method was determined as the sampling method. In part IV findings and the comments took place. Some findings obtained in this study are as follows: Although the students were happy because of a more comfortable environment at BİLSEM, significant differences by gender emerged in the results obtained.Finally in part V, the findings of the research were evaluated in the conclusion and discussion part.Another important finding of the research is that girls gave different responses significantly compared to boys for the proposition: "I can be actively involved in Bilsem organizations? when students' abilities at BİLSEM are compared to other students 'competences, 4th grade students' views were significantly different than 5th grade students? views.
