The review of aggressiveness, assertiveness, non?assertiveness and humor traits of 12 year old elementary education children those attending and not attending science art centers in terms of several variables

This research was conducted in two science art centers within the boundaries of Ankara province and at four elementary schools within the districts of these science art centers take place. 285 students (126 girls and 159 boys) some of those attending and others not attending science art centers were participated in the research. In order to gather the data Children?s Action Tendency Scale and Humor in Adolescence Scale (Ergenlikte Mizah Ölçeği) were applied to the students those participated in the research.At the end of the research it was found that the difference between humor scale scores of the children those attending science art centers and those attending elementary schools isn?t significant, the difference between Children?s Action Tendency Scale?s non assertiveness, aggressiveness and assertiveness sub-scale scores is significant. No significant difference was found between the average scores of the girls? and the boys? those gained from the Children?s Action Tendency Scale?s ?aggressiveness?, ?non assertiveness? and ?assertiveness? sub?dimensions. In addition no significant difference was found between the humor scale scores. According to the educatinal levels of the mothers it is seen that the diferrence between the children?s, who attend elementary education, Action Tendency Scale?s ?aggressiveness?, ?assertiveness? and ?non assertiveness? sub-dimension scores is not significant, and the difference between their Humor Scale scores is significant. According to the educatinal levels of the fathers it is seen that the diferrence between the children?s, who attend elementary education, Action Tendency Scale?s ?aggressiveness?, ?assertiveness? and ?non assertiveness? sub-dimension scores is not significant, and the difference between their Humor Scale scores is significant. According to the type of social activity it was found that the difference is significant when the the children?s, who attend science and art centers, Action Tendency Scale?s ?aggressiveness? sub-scale scores were compared. It was seen that the difference is not significant when their ?assertiveness?, ?non assertiveness? sub-dimension scores and Humor Scale scores were compared. According to the type of social activity it was seen that the difference is significant when the the children?s, who attend elementary education, Humor Scale scores were compared. On the other hand while no significant difference was found between the ?assertiveness?, ?non assertiveness? sub-dimension scores, significant difference was determined between the ?aggressiveness? sub-scale scores. Suggestions were maden in accordance with these findings.
