Abstract (EN)
It is seen that Ottoman renewal activities increased with the 17th century. Especially the twelve-year period called the Tulip Era (between 1718 and 1730) is important as it is a time period in which the first steps of the process in which the Ottoman Empire began to recognize Western science and technique. With this research, which is carried through making use of the literature, it is aimed to obtain a perspective on the development process of Ottoman and Western science.
