Abstract (EN)
The curiosity about the relationship between the Quran and science has motivated many researchers to work in this field. In the last century, the association of the Quran with the natural sciences found its counterpart in the term 'scientific exegesis.' In contemporary Quranic exegesis, one can also find terms like 'scientific interpretation,' 'scientific approach,' and 'scientific school,' among others, as equivalents. Islam's emphasis on knowledge and reason has contributed to the development of a scientific approach in the interpretation of the Quran. According to this approach, scientific data and arguments can be used in the interpretation of Quranic verses to enhance understanding. Scientific exegesis has survived to the present day with both proponents and critics. There have been numerous studies on Quranic exegesis related to this topic. However, there is no specific study on the impact of this approach on translations. This thesis aims to examine the reflections of this approach in translations, focusing primarily on Salih Parlak's work 'Towards a Knowledge Society: Quranic Translation.' The study will analyze what the implications of this approach are and what results it produces in translations. The issue of translating scientific concepts into Quranic language will be evaluated in terms of its impact on the language and content of the Quran. Finally, attention will be drawn to the problems arising from the inclusion of scientific concepts in Quranic translations.
