Abstract (EN)
In this study, the underlying reasons of resistance of healthcare personnel to information system used in some hospitals located in Turkey were investigated. The reasons of resistance were categorized into three; organized based, innovation based and individual based reasons. The healthcare personnel were interviewed in order to examine their innovativeness and affective commitment to organization and perceived positive properties of innovation on their intention of use of information systems. A total of 743 randomly selected healthcare personnel from Adana, Ankara, Diyarbakir and Mardin participated in the studies. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used as research model and the Structural Equation Model (SEM) for analysis using Lisrel (8.54). The results of this research concluded that the innovativeness and the affective organizational commitment of health personnel have a positive impact of behavioral intention of using information systems. However, the effect of perceived positive properties of innovation was negative, though insignificant. Finally, the research model was tested using independent sample t test. In order to test the research model 70 students studying at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Çukurova University were allowed to participate in online survey about a mobile application. The results were compared with each other. Ultimately, a proposed model was put forward to prevent the resistance of personnel to use of technology. Key Words: Resistance to innovation, TAM, IT, SEM, Firebase, Change Management, Participation in change process, Affective organizational commitment, Innovativeness.
