Abstract (EN)
We see the information as the most important production factor in the globalization process. Operations regarding the acquisition, interpretation, categorization, storage, sharing of the information and gaining new information by analysis are performed with the usage of information technologies. Therefore; while office operations are conducted manually and classically in traditional offices, in the contemporary offices of today they are performed by using information technologies.In this research it is aimed to reveal the effect of information technologies to office persons workers as a result of rapidly growing information technologies being used in offices recently and to determine the usage level rate they have.This research is a literature research as well as a field research. Because; surveys had been held in sample public and private sector organizations, data has been collected and evaluated.As a resall of this research; According to data obtained; information technologies are mostly used for document preparation by a rate of 96,2 %. The most important contribution that information technologies provide to Office operations is, providing velocity by a rate of 47,3 %. The leading negative effect that these technologies cause is, system faults and system complexity.Keywords: Information Systems, Information Technology.
