Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine the effectiveness of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy method on tinnitus. Thirty individuals between the ages of 18 and 60 who had subjective tinnitus complaints for at least six months participated in this study. A Toplam of 30 individuals with tinnitus, 15 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group were included in the study. While choosing the study group of the research, criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used. In the research, a 2x2 quasi-experimental design with pretest and posttest measurements with experimental and control groups was used. In the research, a Toplam of 8 sessions were applied for eight weeks. Tinnitus Disability Questionnaire and Visual Analogue Scale were used as data collection tools in the study. The demographic information of the individuals with tinnitus was obtained using the "Personal Information Form" created by the researcher. Ear, Nose and Throat examination and audiological examination were performed on individuals with tinnitus who participated in the study. The data obtained from the study group in the study were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 package program. In the analyzes, it was examined whether the scores of the experimental and control groups from the measurement tools showed a statistically significant difference in the pre-test and post-tests. The scores calculated for the variables were compared using the Mann-Whitney U test and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. According to the findings obtained in the study, a statistically significant difference was found in favor of the experimental group between the Toplam scores of the experimental group who received Cognitive Behavioral Therapy pre and pro the Tinnitus Disability Questionnaire and Visual Analogue Scale in individuals with tinnitus in the experimental and control groups. As a result of the research, it was found that the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy method has a significant effect on reducing tinnitus level, intensity, duration, frequency, disturbance, attention deficit due to tinnitus and sleep problems.
