Abstract (EN)
As a result of the change and globalization of cities, the sameness and similarity experienced in cities has increased the interest in the subjects of urban memory and memory places. In terms of preserving local culture and sustainability of urban identity, the memory accumulation of cities is important for the continuity of city history and architecture. The rapid change that cities are going through causes the neighborhoods, neighbourhoods, streets, houses, trees, houses, trees, schools where people lived and places where they shop to disappear and disappear from memory over time. For this reason, before the memory of the city disappears, it is necessary to concretize what the city has accumulated from past to present, how people understand the city and how the city is perceived. Cities have a lively, dynamic and continuous structure with the people who live in them. While the users of the city live the moment, they also keep all the identity of the city from its past in their memory. While passing through a transformed and changed part of the city, old experiences in human memory may still come to the fore. This is why; A person cannot easily forget an urban and architectural place that he has used for many years, and even if its place is filled with a different place, the one that has a place in the memory lives on, talks about it and expresses his longing for the grace of experiencing it. The reason why studies on urban memory are being addressed today is to what extent the dynamics of the city affect human psychology, and the longing for the past is, in a way, due to dissatisfaction with today's urban environment. For this reason, revealing the memory of cities using qualitative and quantitative methods will ensure the development of the cities of the future in a healthier, more sustainable way and containing identity elements in line with what is accumulated in memory. In the study that deals with the above-mentioned anxiety, anxiety and the realities of the moment; The city of Isparta, as a medium-sized city where different civilizations lived, architectural periods were experienced, and the historical development of the city contributed to the formation of urban areas, and the identity of an important 'street' that has the potential to create the memory of the city of Isparta, were examined together with all archival sources of literature, qualitative and quantitative research methods. . In the study; Sensory analyzes of memory spaces and the cognitive structure of the city are addressed with the mapping method. Sensory analyzes for the perception and experience of the city have an important place in the context of trying to understand the city from different perspectives with different senses, in addition to seeing the city with the naked eye.
