Abstract (EN)

The need for energy continues to increase day by day due to the technological advances that started with the industrial revolution and continued to grow and develop in the 20th century. The reserves of primary-exhaustible energy resources consumed to meet energy needs are also rapidly depleted. In Turkey, a vast majority of energy loss; It is used in systems such as the construction of buildings, operating processes, cooling, heating, ventilation and lighting, which are consumed to optimize interior comfort conditions. Energy recovery in the building sector plays an important role in solving the energy problem. Building Information Modeling-BIM tools enable the evaluation of many design alternatives in terms of energy efficiency, and the effective use of cost and time according to traditional methods. BIM programs should be included at every stage of the project from the earliest stage of the design, not at the end of the design. In this thesis study, wall parameter alternatives, which are the design parameters found in the building envelope and understood to cause the highest energy consumption in the building envelope as a result of the literature research, were created. Wall scenarios were created using Autodesk Revit 2021 in a residential project in Erzincan province, located in a cold climate zone, and the variables of main structure material, stratification and insulation material were used while creating. Energy performance analyzes were made in Green Building Studio, which is an extension of Revit. The alternative wall scenarios created have been evaluated according to annual heating load, annual energy consumption, annual heating load cost and annual carbon emission indicators. The wall scenarios with the best and the worst energy performance were determined by considering the variables in the wall parameter, and the analysis results were evaluated.
