Abstract (EN)
Increasing population in the world, progress in technology and industrialization, and the need for energy that continues to increase rapidly requires more efficient use of existing resources and a shift towards renewable energy resources. Energy consumption and the amount of energy produced, are increasing day by day in accordingly with the development levels of the countries. Many studies suggest that buildings are responsible for most of the energy consumption in various developed countries and the buildings increase their energy consumption steadily every year. In addition, buildings not only consume a large amount of energy, but are also responsible for significant CO2 emissions that can be harmful to the environment and play a major role in the world's climate change. Considering the high percentage of buildings in the use of energy resources and emissions production, environment friendly green buildings are of great importance for the future generations to pursue their lives in a healthy world. With the increasing number of green buildings, standardization and certification studies have begun. One of the most important criteria for green building certification is energy efficiency and building energy performance is evaluated by various modeling programs. In this study, energy performance analysis was performed by modelling with Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Çorlu Engineering Faculty Additional Classroom Building Design Builder and Energy Plus simulation programs. Moreover, additional classroom were modelled with various suggestions for improvement and use of renewable energy, and energy performance evaluation comparisons were made. In the study, the total energy consumption of the additional classroom building is calculated as 158836 kWh, the annual energy cost is 11336 dollars and the annual CO2 emission amount is 71812 CO2 kg. As a result of the design of additional classroom with the use of renewable energy; With the use of photovoltaic panels, total energy consumption is reduced by 33%, annual energy cost by 44% and annual CO2 emissions by 37%; With the use of ground source heat pumps, total energy consumption is reduced by 29%, annual energy cost by 4% and annual CO2 emission by 33%; With the improvement of building components, total energy consumption is reduced by 26%, annual energy cost by 31% and annual CO2 emission by 30%. As a result of the study, additional class was determined to has a significant saving potential for both electricity and natural gas consumption; With the use of renewable energy, the energy consumption, annual energy costs, and annual CO2 emission levels of the additional classroom building have been significantly reduced.
