Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, nonlinear dynamic analyses of Firat University, Faculty of Aquaculture Instructors, Classroom, and Lecture Halls were performed and performances of these structures were determined. Lumped plastic hinge elements were used for the nonlinear behavior. Magnitude relationships were produced by earthquakes characteristics occurred in Elazig between the 1905 and 2005 years. However, maximum value of ground acceleration for these buildings was obtained by using attenuation functions. Synthetic earthquake acceleration matched to acceleration spectrum specified in the Specification for Building to be Built in the Earthquake Areas-2007 was used for the ground acceleration. Synthetic earthquake was affected on the x and y directions of the buildings, separately. Weight and live loads were taken into account for the initial condition. Dynamic analysis results were computed by using step by step integration method. SAP2000 program was used for the solutions.In performance analyses of Firat University Faculty of Aquaculture Instructors, Classroom Buildings, while, the buildings was collapsed on the x direction, those was not collapse in spite of the damages on the y direction. Additionally, a plastic hinge was not occurred under earthquake acceleration affected both x and also y directions for Lecture Halls.
