Since human being is a biological being, he has faced health problems from the moment he appeared on the stage of history. In order to overcome these health problems, human beings sought treatment methods in their geography and used the treatment methods they found to get rid of their diseases. These methods are mostly based on observation, but it consists of using the objects found in nature by trial and error method. At times, folk diseases cannot be cured by the objects he finds in nature, and when he is in despair, he has acquired some beliefs about folk medicine. These beliefs have influenced human behaviors by taking part in folk medicine and gave direction to life. Folk medicine, which has an important place in human life, has an important place in Turkish culture. In the old Turkish medicine, people who were helpless in the face of the disease resorted to herbal, religious and animal orders and sought remedies for their diseases. They have experienced the methods they have found and found useful in the treatment of diseases. In this respect, old Turkish folk medicine practices, which are an indispensable part of human life, have been transferred from generation to generation and have been an important part of our cultural world. The general purpose of our study; the aim of this course is to determine the common aspects of the practices of folk medicine which has an important place in our cultural life from the past to the present day and to reveal them. The scope of our study consists of Bingöl folk medicine applications.
