Moral values in Bingol tales

Fairy tales have always been one of the preferred methods to transfer the values, we have from past to present to future generations because they are both educational and entertaining. In this way, people have transferred their experiences, knowledge, traditions and customs that they have acquired over the centuries to future generations; People wished to warn them, educate them, and keep them ready for challenges. With these qualities, fairy tales have become one of the most effective ways to convey the values that are desired to be imparted to the person, and values have become one of the indispensable methods of education. The aim of this study is to examine ten tales in Okan Alay's "Bingöl Tales (Review - Text)" (2005) and Faruk Kayman's "An Examination of Tales Told in Bingöl in Terms of Child Education" (2011), which consist of tales compiled in the province of Bingöl. To identify the positive and negative moral values it contains and to contribute to values education by making evaluations in this context.
