Abstract (EN)

In recent years, photophysical property of metal complexes which are being used in microscopes, and smart devices is rapidly advancing technology. Metal complexes could be synthesized using phosphine and bipyrimidine ligands in order to find applications in optical devices. In this study, aminometildiphosphine metal complexes have been reacted with bipyrimidine derivatives having optical properties to synthesize heteroleptic chromophore. Aminometildiphosphine, (Ph2PCH2)2NR (R = -(CH2)3CH3), ligand has been synthesized by Mannich reaction and the resulting ligand has been treated with appropriate metal salts using Schlenk technique to prepare Cu(I), Pd(II) complexes. Finally, the metal phosphine complexes will react with bipyrimidine derivatives to give dinuclear heteroleptic metal complexes. The structure of metal complexes has been characterized by FT-IR, 1H,13C and 31P-NMR spectrometry and X-Ray techniques. The electrochemical properties of the compounds were determined by cyclic voltammetry technique. Photophysical properties were determined by spectrophotometric technique. The maximum emission wavelengths observed in emission spectra and energy band gap show that synthesized copper and some of palladium complexes have photophysical properties.
