Abstract (EN)
In this research the quality of Eastern and Southeastern Madrasas as an educational institution has been tried to be identified.The research has focused not only on the terminological definitions, institutional structures, administrative organizations, physical / building structures, economical funds, daily routines, holidays, social activities, academic goals of the madrasas but also on the main factors of education such as teachers and students, curriculum, the studied books, teaching method and techniques, medium of instruction, academic year, graduation ceremonies and the relationship between the society and madrasas.The madrasas which had been in service during 2010 and 2011, in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regions consist the population of this research. As a sample, eight of the madrasas which are still active in Mardin province, city center and suburbs were determined according to the maximum variety sampling method and they confirmed the meeting request.During the research methods such as sample diversity, long term interaction, conversation, observation, detailed data gathering, descriptive analysis and participant confirmation had been used to provide the features like conclusiveness, alienism, cohesion and confirmation of the research. Also, a survey consisting of the questions related to madrasas and themselves, had been applied to 162 students in the madrasas that were in question. For the assessment of the survey datas, Statistical Package for Social Sciences, descriptive frequency analysis , multiple comparison test and relevancy test were used.Key Words: Religion, Sociology, Education, Madrasa, Ottoman, Orient, Eastern, Southeastern.
