Abstract (EN)
VIII.SUMMARYThere is no absolute treatment of HBC/HCV infections,therefore, having an appreciate level of information and well-knowingKnowledge about the preventative measures is very important for theseworldwide health problem. In spite of that is accepted an occupationalhealth problem, there are many studies in which the knowledge deficiencyof health-workers were reported.This descriptive study was realized in October 2006. Datawere collected using questionnaires, designated by researcher. It wasaimed to evaluate the knowledge levels of 127 nurses about the HBV/HCVenfections and the preventative measures, working at some surgery andthe internal medicine clinics of GMMA Teaching Hospital. It was strikingthat only 24,4% of the subject group had an education about the viralhepatitis after the grcuation and only 26,9% has been known not torecapping the used ınjections and also the deficiency of knowledge aboutthe viral hepatitis and the preventative measures. By declaring the feelingsthat not having an appreciate knowledge level about the HBV/HCV, the43,2% of the subject group were supported the findings about theknowledge deficiency. On occation of the knowledge level of the subjectgroup, increasing the educations of the nurses about the viral hepatitis,planning of postgratuational educational lectures and well-teachig thepreventative measures would be benefical.Key Words: Hepatitis B/C virus, Nurse, Educational Level, PreventativeMeasures-1-
