Abstract (EN)
Occupational health and safety have an important position in working life. Occupational health and safety is becoming more substantial in mining sector, as mining is one of the sectors in which the highest number of occupational accidents and worker losses are experienced due to its working structure. Scientific and technological developments may be insufficient to prevent occupational and worker accidents. In such cases, emergency action plan preparation and emergency management have a great place for mining enterprises that have occupational health and safety risks at every stage. In the emergency action plan, emergency situations and the preventions to be taken against these situations should be defined, plans should be made, methods should be followed, updates should be made and persistence of them should be ensured to prevent or reduce the negative effects such as possible injury, death, illness and facility damage. Scenarios for all possible emergency situations in mining enterprises should be created and emergency management should be done with unfaltering steps. While doing all this, regulations and laws regarding occupational health and safety practices in mines should be considered, and emergency plans should be carefully prepared. In this study, risk analysis was applied with Matrix Method in a coal mine. After the implementation of the proposed measures, the risk assessment was re-evaluated and as a result, the risks were reduced to an acceptable risk level. Considering the emergencies (explosion, fire, natural disasters (earthquake, flood), events requiring first aid and evacuation, sabotage, dangerous substance chemical release and poisoning) determined in the emergency plan of the enterprise, the issues not specified in the emergency plan according to the regulations were determined with the help of the control charts and how they should be included. This study aims to understand the importance of both risk analysis and contingency plan for employees and workplace.
