Abstract (EN)
In today's world, energy is becoming more necessary day by day. The countries that their industries are growing and populations are increasing have increasing demand of energy and therefore their energy resources have been examined in more qualified way. Today, the quantity of energy reserves of countries and world are calculated and their lives are determined. This may seem like a long period of time if it is evaluated in terms of a human life but if it is evaluated on the basis of humanity is too short. In order to increase this time, energy production should be done in high efficiency and new energy sources should be find. Today thermal power plants are widely used inenergy production are Rankine and Brayton cycles, or a combination of both, which works according to the combined cycle. The oldest steam power plants are steam cycled power plants. Several methods were used to increase efficiency of the power plants and also are used today. However, such plants don?t have still very high efficiency. Many methods that could not be applied in the past have the opportunities to be applied by the development of today's technology. One of the most important is to use working fluid above the critical pressure and critical temperature in supercriticalthermal power plants.In this type of power plants fluid can be evaporated without taking latent heat of evaporation. So there will be decrease in the amount of heat. Thus, either thermal efficiency will be increased or the environmental and fuel costs will be reduced. Damage caused by pollutants to Earth is also reduced by using highly efficient systems. In addition, users will have the opportunity to use cheaper electricity.xvIn supercritical thermal power plants, methods that are used in power plants such as feed water heating, reheating can be used.In this study, types of supercritical cycles, the place of supercritical power plants in the world and analysis of 1st and 2nd law efficiency of one of them will be discussed.Key words: Supercritical Power Plant, exergy analysis, energy analysis, The efficiency of first law of thermodynamic, The efficiency of second law of thermodynamic, critical point
