Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this work is designing of a bench lathe under predefined bench parameters.Main parameters that defined for the lathe as: maximum work piece length 550 mm,maximum work piece diameter 90 mm and work piece material is ST 70.Under defined main parameters of the lathe above, firstly cutting force was calculated. Byusing this calculated cutting force, all moving mechanism parts were designed and allStandard parts were selected. For apron moving mechanism a norton gear Group has been used. And for normal machiningworks, there is possibility of automatic movement of apron from main machining rod. After all calculations and designing were finished, a design check was applied with finiteelement method for main lathe body and spindle.Key words: lathe, bench lathe, lathe design, finite element method.JURY:1.
