As a student volunteering experience, activities for soul bonds of General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories Agency: Such as Samsun Provincial Directorate of youth and sports

General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories Agency offers accommodation, nutrition, scholarship/credit opportunities for youth who continue their education at higher education level. In addition, it has regularly organized educational, social, cultural and sports activities since 2013. The General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories Agency benefits are free of charge and participation is fully voluntary and it allows students to manage their out-of-school time efficiently and with high quality. General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories Agency especially encourages the participation of each dormitory student in events for social responsibility and it places more emphasis on further spread of volunteerism in the world of young people. The aim of this study is to determine what extent the students staying in dormitories affiliated to the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories Agency are aware of the social responsibility activities carried out under the title of "Soul Bonds" and how they are perceived these activities, their level of participation and their motivation for participation. In this study, the universe of the research consists of 13 750 students staying in 17 state dormitories affiliated to Samsun Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the fall semester of 2019-2020 Academic Year. "General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories Agency Students' Participation Questionnaire in Soul Bonds Activities" was used in order to collect the data needed in the study. The fact that an Institution that has been known for accommodation, scholarships/credit and nutrition over the years, has claimed to turn its dormitories into education spaces and perhaps to become a second school is considered as a subject worth researching. According to the results of the research, more than half of the participants (53.2%) were aware of the Volunteer Bond activities, Volunteering events titled "the elderly, General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories Agency Forest and the environment" emerged as the most preferred activities by students and considering the purposes of participating in volunteer projects; it was concluded that students spent their free time with a creative activity, there was no significant difference in participation rates considering gender and age groups and student participation was significantly affected according to the dormitory administration's interest in social responsibility projects.
