Bir sürdürülebilirlik yaklaşımı olarak sosyal girişimcilik farkındalığı: Yoksulluğun azaltılması konusunda çalışan Türk STK'ları üzerine bir vaka çalışması

The continuous growth in social and environmental issues in society compels Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to address new challenges daily. However, some of the classical and traditional methods of funding and resources allocation have proven to be insufficient in facing these challenges. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to investigate the level of social entrepreneurship awareness in Turkish NGOs working to alleviate poverty. It aims to explore the role of social entrepreneurship as a sustainability approach for Turkish NGOs. The study employs a qualitative research method approach, consisting of interviews with Turkish NGO managers to gather data on social entrepreneurship practices and awareness within these institutions. The research investigated the current level of social entrepreneurship awareness among NGOs. The results of this research contributed to the existing literature by focusing on the potential of social entrepreneurship as a sustainability approach for Turkish NGOs. The research provided insights and data on the importance of fostering social entrepreneurship to enhance organizational effectiveness and long-term impact. It promoted more sustainable and flexible NGO sector in Turkey, capable of addressing the social and environmental challenges of the 21st century.
