Abstract (EN)
In today's global world, with the advance of technology, users' tendencies are also changing rapidly. Users are continually demanding the different, looking for surprises. Accordingly, design practice and designers begin to gravitate towards new concepts and new expansions. It explains that the concept of Pop-up is a result of such an environment, and that there are different forms of revelation in the historical process. It is noteworthy that its applications have increased nationally and globally since the beginning of the 2000s. Mainly the concept Pop-up -which means suddenly and unexpectedly appear or happen- is interpreted as a model, strategy, or a platform focused on the needs of the users looking for new and temporary experiences. The applications that come out of the Pop-up strategy are able to adapt to different social-physical conditions and spaces. Their changeable and flexible nature provides different social- physical participation possibilities and experience settings for the users. In this regard, no phenomenon is presented permanently, so temporariness becomes inevitable. The feature of being temporary is also regarded as a quality that contributes to creativity. To test the reactions and the requests of the society they take place in, they also include the ability of being experimental to their construction. With this aspect, and with its abstract or concrete applications or product designs, the concept of Pop-up begins to take the place of everything that is temporary in every field, from education to culture, economy to health. This study aims to set forth the effect of the concept of Pop-up, which is becoming the expression of today's consumerist society, to today's design practices and especially to the architectural design and the application equivalents of Pop-up that emerged in commercial buildings, cultural buildings and public spaces with their counterparts.
