Abstract (EN)
In this study, Afşin-Elbistan B termal power plant, one of the most biggest termal power plant in Turkey which was built in Kahramanmaraş province Afşin-Elbistan region and has 4 x 360 MW production capacity, was investigated in terms of energy management systems. For this purpose, it was determined that boiler, condenser and heater are the components that cause major energy losses according to previous study that is performed with datas that are taken in every 3 minutes by SR EPOS (Energy Optimization System) program which is established in the plant. Levelized cost of electricity was calculated according to 3 different method for plant. Effect of the differences between the boiler efficiency which is calculated according to design parameters with the boiler efficiency which is calculated according to EPOS datas and boiler?s producer reference efficiency on levelized cost of electricity is calculated. As a result of this study it is determined that the levelized cost difference ,calculated over 20 years, arising from the boiler reaches 100 million$.
