Abstract (EN)

Family medicine is the first point of contact of the individual with the health system. The physician encounters the early stages of diseases that have not yet been differentiated, and this situation creates difficulties in diagnosis. The study aims to evaluate the patient profile applying to our Education Family Health Center and contribute to the points considered in the specialty training curriculum in this direction. Our study population consists of patient records in Bursa Nilüfer Education Family Health Center No. 36, affiliated with Bursa Uludağ University Family Medicine Department, between November 2019 and November 2020. The number of patients included in the evaluation was 1725. The study's data were obtained retrospectively by scanning the existing patient files. The mean age of the applicants in the study was 42.94±20.71 years. The most applied age range was 26-65. 31.7% of the applicants were male, and 68.3% were female. While 83.9% of the individuals were non-smokers, 16.1% were smokers. When evaluating the adult vaccination status of the applicants, 47.3% were vaccinated at least once. The proportion of individuals with at least one chronic disease was 53.4%, and the most common chronic illness was hypertension. The most common reasons for admission were medication prescription, general health control, and sore throat. The most common diagnoses were general medical examination, acute upper respiratory tract infection, and laboratory examination. The most common procedure in admissions was prescribing (70.4%). The most frequent counseling was nutrition and diet regulation. The stronger primary health care services, the better health system of that country works. Patient records kept in primary care will be a guide for good residency training. At the same time, it will enable recognition of the patient profile and make an appropriate evaluation according to the profile.
