Factors affecting private pension preferences and an application in the Trabzon sub-region

This thesis was conducted to examine the thoughts on Individual Pension System of the people working in public sector in the provinces of Artvin, Rize, Trabzon, Gümüşhane, Giresun and Ordu in the Trabzon Sub-region. They were questioned on saving tendencies of the current personals, the means of saving they choose and the factors that affect their choices. The method used to collect the data was through descriptive questionnaire. The questions were asked to the total of 510 people working in the public sector. The SPSS program is used to analyze the obtained data and information. Factor Analysis, Frequency Test, Independent Sample T Test and One Way Variance (ANOVA) Analysis were performed on these data. In these analyzes, demographics such as gender, education level, income level, the social security institution affiliated to have no effect on the preference of the individual pension system, and no differentiation was detected. In addition, it was determined that age and working time create a meaningful quotation for preferring the private pension system.
