Abstract (EN)

This study aims to evaluate the differences in investment preferences between generations by examining the attitudes of generations towards investment preferences. The main hypothesis of the study is shaped on whether there is a relationship between the emotional, cognitive and social factors affecting the investment preferences of the individuals in question and the generational differences of the individuals in line with the determined purpose. With this study, it is aimed to evaluate the behavior patterns of the same generations and the behavior patterns of different generations comparatively, and to determine the behavior patterns of the generations in the financial markets in the light of the data obtained, by examining the effect of generational differences on the financial preferences of individual investors. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on individuals residing in Antalya in order to determine the investment behavior of generations, and the survey was analyzed with advanced statistical applications in the light of the data obtained. Investor behaviors were examined as "overconfidence tendency, over-optimistic tendency, presence tendency, regret avoidance tendency, uncertainty avoidance tendency, loss aversion tendency, socio- economic tendencies and herd tendency".
